According to 2018 China Real Estate Market Outlook - Office Buildings released by CB Rid Ellis, China’s new office demand for 2017 is more than 6 million square meters, creating a new record. And in 2018, 3.8 million square meters of offices are expected to be built in first-tier cities, basically the same as the previous year.

 


At the same time, the report believes that in 2018, co-working offices will enter further into the traditional A-B level office building industry. At this time, main tenants and even office building owners can be the operator of the entire building. The report predicts that the number of co-working projects in china’s first- and second-tier cities will grow by more than 50% in 2018, driven by peak office supply, growth in demand for flexible office space by large and medium-sized enterprises and the preference of venture capital.
